Molting fun
Feb. 6th, 2010 10:19 amSo I am a tarantula newbie. Only had a couple spiderlings since last August. I've got the book and internet access but that doesn't mean I always find the info I am looking for.
So my two Roseas, one is about 6 months old and the other about 4. They are called Sekna and Rainbow respectively. (I have a typical 7 year old daughter, haha.)
Anyway, Rainbow molted this week but not on his back on his freaking side. The books and forums usually only talk about molting on their backs so I was kinda weirded out. He's fine though, of course.
Sekna, who's done a marvelous job of creating a little burrow (which is fascinating!) popped out of her hole bigger looking and more white. I figure she molted inside the burrow and am waiting for the her to bring the exuvium out. I thought they did that, don't they? She's beautiful and really growing into a little lady so to speak.
